What If Rohan Lost the Battle of Helm’s Deep?

The Battle of Helm’s Deep was one of the most important moments in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. It was there that the tide turned for the Free Peoples of Middle-earth in the face of Saruman’s rising power. But what if Rohan had lost this battle?

In this alternate timeline I explore what might have happened had Théoden King Aragorn, and their allies fallen before the might of Saruman’s Uruk-hai at Helm’s Deep and how that one defeat could have led to the downfall of Gondor, Lothlórien, and ultimately, all of Middle-earth.
